Diana Flores is a Mexican-Puerto Rican soprano based in Vero Beach, Florida. She is currently studying under Metropolitan Baritone Matthew Burns while getting her Masters in Voice Performance at the University of Memphis, in Memphis, TN.  

In 2025, Diana Flores is making her role debut as Mimì in La bohème at the Mediterranean Opera Studio and Festival in Sicily. She will also perform as Susannah in scenes from Susannah with The University of Memphis Opera Theatre following her 2024 role debut as Donna Anna in Don Giovanni with the same theatre. In 2023, Diana performed at the Vienna Summer Music Festival in Austria, where she portrayed Erste Dame in Die Zauberflöte and Dolcina in Suor Angelica, while also covering Suor Genovieffa. In 2022, she appeared as Lady Caroline in the world-premiere of Paul Richards’ operetta Mondo Novo and served as the cover for Donna Anna in Don Giovanni. Her work with the Bower School of Music and Opera Naples includes roles such as María in El Cóndor Pasa, First Lady in The Magic Flute, The Dew Fairy in Hansel and Gretel, Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte, and Miss Silverpeal in The Impresario.

Along with receiving great masterclasses from the voice faculty of her education, she has also taken lessons and masterclasses with several world-renowned artists such as Metropolitan Opera singers Kirsten Chambers, Adam Diegel, Elizabeth Caballero, Jennifer Rowley, Susan Neves, Eduardo Valdes, Grammy award winner Mark S. Doss, Evelyn Schörkhuber, International Opera Artists Arts Manager and Founder, Kalle Kanttila, and Florida Grand Opera Agent, Mitch Roe.

Having done some competitions, Diana Flores won first place in the Classical Senior Women Category in the Tampa Bay National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) competition in both 2022 and 2023. Recently, she was a finalist in the Young Artist Division at the Beethoven Club of Memphis: Sevell Vocal Competition and won third place in Beethoven Club of Memphis: Young Artist Competition.

Along with enjoying opera, Diana Flores was in the auditioned Chamber Choir at Florida Gulf Coast University under the direction of Dr. Trent Brown in which the choir toured Italy, Spain, and France. During this tour she was a soloist in La Sagrada Familia for the American Celebration of Music in Spain, Collégiale Notre Dame des Anges in L’Isle sur la Sorgue for the American Celebration of Music in France, and Conservatori Sant Cugat in Barcelona, Spain. In 2020, the same choir sang at St. Peter's Basilica, Cattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta, and Chiesa del Gesù Nuovo (American Celebration of Music in Italy). In this chorus, Flores was a broadcasted soloist for WGCU’s annual Joyful and Triumphant concert for both 2022 and 2021 performances.

Diana Flores has a strong interest for musical theatre, having been a featured artist in Christ by the Sea's concert series, including The Broadway Stage and Screen Concert, Broadway Stars Concert, Romantic Broadway Concert, and the Make Them Hear You! cabaret with Julie Carver, director of the Florida Gulf Coast Symphony. Her experience extends to worship, oratorio, and festive music, where she has performed at Opera Memphis' annual Christmas Fiesta and Latin Fest. In 2024, Flores presented several excerpts as both a soloist and chorister from Handel’s Messiah as part of the concert series at Germantown Presbyterian Church and Christ by the Sea United Methodist Church. Additionally, she participated as a chorus member for Michael W. Smith's national tour and is an annual soloist in Christ by the Sea's full-scale Christmas and Easter cantatas.

Diana Flores holds a BA in Voice Performance and BS in Health Science at Florida Gulf Coast University. Driven by her passion for performance and a vision for music, Diana is poised to make a lasting impact in the world of opera. Her love for family, friends, culture, and teachers continues to inspire her artistic journey everyday.
